I got some disturbing news from my sister on Sunday night. My older brother had been in the hospital for over a week, which I knew about. My Mom had him rushed to the hospital after finding him passed out in his house. My sister talked to the doctor on Sunday and found out that he was in the final stages of liver disease. He had been in the hospital twice before in the last 2 years, both times were a close call. The doctors did everything they could and it seemed like he was getting better because he was walking around. When my Mom went in to see him on Monday, she said he had an oxygen mask on and seemed to be comfortable but he was completely out. My sister (from Valley Forge, PA) went to Myrtle Beach on Tuesday morning to be with Mom. My other sister called me Tuesday after lunch and told me that he had passed away that morning. He was 51.
