No, from Teri, but wait until I get them set up so we can verify the size. I think the ones she did are going to be perfect but I just want to be sure.

I recieved the guages and added the decals. I took pictures of the silver guage face and the white guage face for comparison - they both look good! On the silver one - I added the SS badge and the SSOA badge from Teri - choice of location was difficult but I like balance so I put them on the two guages evenly. The photos make the silver look brighter than it really is - as you view them think of the silver as a few shades darker. I tried three different kinds of lighting to try to give a better idea of the silver vs. white. Click on the link then look at the next four pics.
The guages are from nr - see the instructions above if you want a set and the SS and SSOA decals are from Teri - contact Teri for those - she did a great job on them!

I notice from the NR FAQ site that they say that many of their guages have NR logos on them. Does anyone here know if this is the case for the silver and/or white guage faces being talked about? Is this why y'all are getting the SS and SSOA logos, to cover up the NR logo? I'm adding the white guage face to my Christmas list and need to know if I should order SS related logos. Thanks

The NR logo is very subtle - you can see it above the RPM in the photo. You might ask Teri for a smaller SS to cover it but it's not very obtrusive.

Rich I will make it a point to see this installed on your car... maybe in the spring at Bear Mtn. Those look nice, I'm wondering how good the night illumination is (hard to tell from the pics on the NR site as they are not using the cluster's lighting in their night shots).
quote:Originally posted by wild childs SS: why not use gauges that you dont have to remove the needles?
Really two reasons; the icons for the guages don't light up and the brightness of the guages. Removing the needles isn't very difficult, it just takes a bit of planning and a little patience.

Richard is correct. The gauges come with directions that are easy to follow and a tool to remove the needles.

Dissappointing that NR feels its now nessecary to have their logo exposed on the gauge face. Thank good ness I got the old version w/o logo
They aren't paying you to advertise for them . .
I like the idea of adding the SS OR the SSOA logo on the guage face, but in my honest opinion looks too busy with both logos. I do like the Silver ones!

The SS, does not lite up. Whta they are refering to are the little symbols for the fuel, battery, oil and temp. When you install a TA bezel the OEM Camaro, symbols will get covered.

Ah, now I understand why I'm getting inquiries for stickers.
I think you are referring to Teri Lane. (The other Teri.)
I picked up some 35th decales from Teri Lane at Bowling Green in different sizes.Excellant quality and at a very fair price .
Teri took a decale she made for the condensing unit and rounded the corners for me. I now have it on the ash tray that GM puts in the vehicles .I use this for my spare change and can takt it from vehicle to vehicle

Right, but one of the reasons I asked NR to make these guages was so that the fuel etc. icons would be relocated to the center of the guage and light up, so with the TA bezel, nothing is covered.

I understand your position, but they did make these guages as a special request. If you want to cover the nr, have teri make make a decal that would go where the nr is and get the best of both worlds.

Yes, I know what you mean. I wanted something unique though - that's whay I asked them to make the silver and for Teri to make the decals. I like the SS on the left and I love the SSOA decal so I just had to add it too! Posts: 3403 | From: Woodcliff Lake, NJ, USA | Registered: Dec 2000

I got the guages and bezel installed this weekend. One hour and twenty minutes start to finish.
The only complaint is that there are two areas where the night view could be brighter - near the 0 to 1000 RPM area and at the top of the speedo. This by the way is using brighter bulbs from MacEwen.
I took a few of the daytime pictures with and without flash so you could get an idea.
All in all they look good and I am happy with the results.
They are on sale now, also they will help you with custom work also. I hope Santa will be good to me this year.. I heard the stock bulbs are not enough with them..

I wonder why the illumination is darker in those areas? Should be as good as factory, ESPECIALLY with the brighter MacEwen bulbs. Either way a beautiful upgrade.
Bandit... if you get the MacEwens, definitely get the Xenon clear bulbs. If Santa needs help installing them he knows where I live. Posts: 210 | From: Budd Lake, NJ | Registered: Apr 2003

Thanks for kind comments Mike and John, appreciated. I've sent a note to nr - hopefully they will be able to offer some insight/guidance....will keep you posted.

I just got my silver gauge face yesterday. Why do you use a bezel? The original one wasn't like that. Must I also get new bulbs? Where can I get both of these?

Rich, our white face from NR also have the same darker appearance at the same place that you mentioned. Just thought you would want to know as it may not be because they did these special for you.
