Hey all, been away for a bit (had spinal surgery from car crash [Frown] ) but wanted to share experience with SLP...I ordered an engine plaque for my SS along with some other goodies, SLP's rep made a mistake determining my car's production # for the plaque....after I called for verification, Matt at SLP found the error and assured me the plaque would be intercepted and fixed...well, I just received it and sure enough, they got it right. I found SLP's people to be helpful and efficient. With all the negative posts I have seen about people's experiences dealing with them (mostly on other boards), I felt I should post this.

when I ordered my rear deck mat they sent me a Firehawk mat. I called them they had it picked up the next day and two days later I had the right Camaro SS mat. Have never had anything but good results when dealing with SLP.

My experiences have been good until now. I have ordered elbows for my cme and was sent the wrong part. And it took over two weeks to get. Ordered from the web page the right part no. and they only process web orders on Mondays and then 7-10 days to ship. This alone has done it for me. I order from Thunder and its shipped usually the same day and low and behold, I have it 3 days later at the longest. I just don't understand SLP. [Confused]

Thanks, feels real good right now (not!).
Does titanium set off metal detectors at the airport?

Had the exact same issue. Ordered a mat for an ebony interior SS, ...received a nuetral one for a FireHawk. One phone call and they cleared it right up though... [Cool]

They originally shipped OE parts out of NJ. Then about a year or two ago, they moved it to Michigan. They never really ironed out the process up there. (I had some fun trying to get a set of spare chrome valve stems and caps)

It's back in NJ now. Give them a few weeks to get up to speed, and let's gauge them then. I think (and hope) we will see an improvement.

They have OE replacement parts on the NJ site now. The list is extensive, and I havent reviewed it in detail for content yet.

http://www.slponline.com

I have read on the firehawk owners board they are no longer selling replacement "second sticker slp content" passenger door stickers.

Us Hawk owners dont have the numbers to generate enough demand to get them to do that again... but our SS cousins sure do.

If you call them, make sure you ask about it. If enough interest is shown, then they might do it.

I was going to write that I always meant to do that (even smacked myself in the head after hanging up last time), but...
STICKER?

[I'm not sure they have it all straightened out yet. They say the LS1 engine plaque is good for my `00. That ain't right, right? Maybe I'll order some stuff.]

that sticker is the "widow sticker" that came with delivery.

I was talking about the sticker that lists the optional slp content that is on the passenger door.

Gotcha. I'll learn to read one of these days.

[I think I saw the word sticker and my mind kind of jumped to the window sticker I always meant to order.]

I have always had the best of service from SLP over the years and have got many things from them since 1998. I once neede a set of lug nut caps the crome ones for the 10 spoke wheels as I had lost 2 and was leaving home for Superfest in 2 days I gave them a call and had them at my house the next day you can't beat that service when you tell them you need it and when.
