Man O' Man... what a pain.. But It was all worth it! -
I love how this hotcam sounds. My SS never sounded to good! It is raining here, so i cant see what kind of power difference it made, but i can tell the cam is there by the loping.

OOOHHHH I know you're lovin' that. [Big Grin] A fellow club member installed one in his 98 1LE. It sounds great! [Cool]

From what I understand, no tuning is required with this cam. The stock PCM adjusts for it. Is that correct?

It may. it wont idle right now when in gear. I have a Diablosport Predator. James at RWTD is making a custom tune for me so that it will perform more to the cams specs and run a little better. Tuning should help the low idle. I might also have to drill out the throttle body butterfly hole a little bigger.. We will see tomorrow. [Wink]

Any idea on the power it will make? Or do we have to wait for a dyno?

Gotta love the lope!

Whoever said you couldn't run away from your problems obviously wasn't driving an SS.

Not really sure. James at RWTD was telling me a few weeks ago, he was working with someone with about the same mods, i think the other guy had a loudmouth, anyway, with a day of dyno'ing and tuning, i think he said somewhere near 365 RWHP.. I will talk to him today to get the right number.
As far as what im making, no dyno around here that i know of...

My Hotcam with the rest of my mods LT's/ORY pipe/ported TB/4.10's etc. made 381hp & 372 tq. I just added 17X9.5 & 17X11 AFS black powdercoated ZR1's & nittos so I hope to improve on my 12.7 at 114.23 best pass.

Congrats! What was such a pain in the ass? Other than the cam, what other parts did you have to/should've bought?

Thanks,
Tom
