Brian I don't know what part of western nc you live but check out http://www.carolinacamaro.org its the web site of the North Carolina camaro club and is one of the oldest in the country host club for the Eastern Nats each year. Not much going on now this time of year except parades but I will try and keep you up to date of anything I hear

Actually I am from Lake Lure, NC. Close to Asheville and Hendersonville.
Really nice country in that part of the state Brian Cindy and I like to ride over that way on nice weekends and a short trip on the parkway
