I made the trip from Monterey, CA to Baton Rouge, LA. Well, two and a half days and 2100 miles of good bonding time with my SS have resulted in a great trip over-all. I saw four other SS's on the road and one Firehawk.
Thanks to the driver of the black SS convertable that traveled beside me for about 75 miles between San Antonio and Houston! You have one beautiful SS my friend.
I averaged just under 24 mpg for the trip traveling between 70 and 80 mph. Not bad for an A4.

Glad you had a good and safe trip and there's nothing like makeing a very long trip in a SS----fun all the way. This past 4th of July I went from central NC to Superfest in Michigan and then from there back to NC and then on to Daytona FLA and then to Orlando and around and then back to NC 4000 miles in a week and in a great running SS

Sorry, no pics. I actually thought about bringing the camera about 500 miles into the trip! It was a little late by then. Posts: 322 | From: Fort Polk, LA | Registered: Feb 2002

Glad you had a great and safe trip! I was traveling with the family to Tennessee and luckily I had my camera with me. Was trying to take pics of all the f-body's I saw. I only saw two SS's in the whole 1400 mile trip (one firehawk). many more early 4th gens. Too bad I didn't drive, would have been nice.
btw. it's funny, i probably saw at least 100 mustangs. They're a dime a dozen. Nice seeing camaros on the road!
