However, ther are also some other considerations.
1. Politicians in general are good at two things: getting elected, and getting re-elected. I dont see politics, law-writing, or intelligence in that list. Every now and then you get a good one, but there are a lot of bad.
2. Point 1 implies this: we shouldnt be surprised at stupidity of our politicians, however, when filling out the ballet, if most politicians are all the same (stupid, ignorant, etc), then we are faced with a choice between the lesser of the two evils.
3. Just imagine if we took all the money required to write, pass, and enforce stupid laws, and did something useful, like buy better books and computers for our schools!?!?!?!
