I got my Hawk back last Friday with the new 396 stroker.
Even though it hasn't been tuned yet (I'm getting a street tune Thursday or Friday night) and I haven't jumped on it yet since it's not broken in, it feels pretty awesome. It's got an nasty lope to it and with long tubes and no cats it's louder than any car I've ever had.
I can't wait to get it broken in and then get a good dyno tune, hopefully it'll all be set up by mid-late January.
New motor consists of:
- Forged Callies Dragonslayer crank - Forged Diamond pistons - Forged Eagle 6" h-beam rods - Custom cam (224/233 @ .500, 112 LSA, 108 - Intake centerline, 558 intake / 575 exhaust, 3.75 degrees of overlap) - Ported LT4 heads with new springs - Comp cam lifters and pushrods - Jet Hot long tubes w/Mufflex off road y-pipe - Holley 58MM TB - 6 qt. Canton pan with Melling hi-volume pump

Why would you want to see pics of my filthy Firehawk?? I was hoping to wash it this weekend but considering we are supposed to get a mix of snow and rain Friday thru Sunday, it ain't gonna happen!

Glad to hear you finally got it back. I guess I would be more relaxed knowing my engine builder didnt rush things....but I know it was making you anxious.
Good for you, bad for us... How are you going to buy us all Christmas presents now that you're broke?? The only thing you can afford is a Ford, and we weren't naughty enough to deserve that!
Enjoy!

As long as I am there it will be!
Well, it will definitely be ready by Scott's targeted event, SLP Day 2005.

Nick from Nu Tek is estimating 460-470hp and 500tq at the crank. It could have been a little higher but since my car is a daily driver it has to pass a sniffer test so the cam isn't as agressive as it could be.

I agree with you, I wouldn't dream of posting a dirty pic of my ride, no matter how much power she makes. Posts: 106 | From: St. Augustine, FL. | Registered: Aug 2003
