Thats right i'm now the proud new owner of a 2004 SVT Focus. Its a 4 door silver. Loaded, heated seats, 6 disc in dash cd changer, sunroof, black leather with blue cloth inserts. The only thing in common with the SS is it has a 6speed trans. Now before you guys hunt me down and beat me look at like this. I was looking for a car that is fun to drive for around 22k. The only thing that really looked good was the SVT. Maybe GM should stop spending time making SUVs with sliding roofs and start working on some affordble cars that are fun to drive. Anyway I pick it up on Sat. and if im aloud i'll post some pics for everyone to print and burn. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA [Big Grin]

P.S. I still love the SS more than life itself. When I want to drive fast i promise ill be thinking of the Camaro and not the SVT

No justification necessary! If you are pleased with your choice, then that's all that matters!! Heck! It's your money! Your call!
Seriously though, I've heard from more than a few sources that these Focus pocket rockets are an incredible bang for the buck! Enjoy! ... and have many miles of safe and enjoyable motoring!

Best regardSS,

Elie

Thanks guys, I was just joking about justifing the car. That could be the greatest Lic. plate ever. Thats another reason, for 20K how can you go wrong. Just diappointing when I looked for a GM car the is fun to drive for around 20K and found that they dont make such a car. [Confused] When I asked the dealer about this he said maybe I should look at the Saturn Redline. Thats when I said [Roll Eyes] and went to the Ford dealer.

Good choice - nice bang for the buck!

Although I know of a nice Hawk for sale for under $20,000! [Wink]

Here's hoping you have a much better experience with FORD quality control than I have. A Contour SVT is my daily driver. Never again.......

The Focus is a great choice. It is one of the top selling cars in the world today.

I have owned a number of Ford products and can't complain about any of them. I currently have an AWD Explorer along with my SS of course. And as for GM not having any fun little cars to compete with the Focus....you are absolutely right.

Enjoy your Focus.

Congrats on the new purchase. Just curious though...why wouldn't you even consider looking at the redline? It's a direct competitor to the SVT Focus and Neon SRT-4. I have not driven one or even sat in one yet, but it has been getting some pretty decent reviews from the car mags and other publications.

Also, did you consider the WRX? Granted it's over 22K, but I think you can get one for 25 or so.

No flames intended here. These cars are part of a quickly growing market and I'm just looking to get opinions of those buying them.

Take Care.
