They're calling for 3" of snow today. Should make for interesting driving to work today. It's always the first snowfall of the season that causes the most trouble. Something about the brain forgetting how to drive in snow!
Have a great weekend all - we deserve it!
Play hard, be safe.

Morning all .......... freezing rain here, but no real driving problems (*yet) ............. have a good one
The pic of the day ............... since we mentioned Gapp & Roush yesterday it seemed fitting that we looked at one of their cars today
Wayne Gapp was an engineer at Ford (worked on the Boss 429 engine program) .......... he teamed with Jack Roush (who was the business end of the duo) and the two produced some "interesting" combinations ............. Wayne was one of the few who really understood what Bill Jenkins was up to when he pressured the NHRA to allow the small block, short wheelbase Pro/Stockers
NHRA's rule at the time was 7.00 pounds per cubic inch ............. with his 331" small block, Jenkins' car could weigh as little as 2,317 lbs ............ in contrast to a Mopar hemi which had to weigh 2,982 lbs because of the 426 cu in displacement ............ even Wayne's Pinto was at a disadvantage because of the 351 Cleveland powerplant requiring 2,457 lbs ................ Wayne realized that Jenkins was not dealing with just horsepower issues here ........ the major issue was inertia ............ it took much less horsepower to start smaller weights into acceleration ............... NHRA, in an attempt to appease the Chrysler boys who were crying that their cars were no longer competitive (and they weren't) instituted a new rule ..........7.00 lbs/cu in for short wheelbase cars and 6.50 lbs/cu in for long wheelbase cars
So Wayne and Jack went out and built ..................... the "Tijuana Taxi" ............ the world's only 4-door prostocker
