According to an article in the Feb '04 Vette magazine, insiders indicated that the '05 C6 will not be available in red (a most popular color for sports cars)....and that the starting MSRP for a base model will approach $60K!!! I gotta wonder what GM is thinking....still good value dollar per HP, but the price is approaching high dollar, prestige sports cars like Porsche

Thats because the vette is a high-end prestige sports car, and IMO, much better than a stinkin' Porsche [Smile]

The price has to go up some time to pay for all that cool stuff they put in it! It just means I cant have one anytime soon [Frown]

There are 2 reds listed 27U-Precision Red which is a new color and 86U Magnetic Red Metallic II which is a carry over. If anyone is interested here is a link to the dealer order sheets, no prices but still interesting. I was surprised at the number of colors listed for the conv't tops.
