Author Topic: Oil Question BigBlueSS 1st Gear Member # 2173 posted 11 December, 2003 11:44 AM                    Just bought a 98 SS with 80,000 miles. Previous owner ran Amsoil but I want to switch to Mobil 1. So they chose "their" favorite brand and the car just keeps on going, In some cases oil consuption may decrease or possible increase in some cases but few if any ill affects happen. [ 11.
