I read the installation center is being closed and they don't know if it will reopen.

Hopefully nothing else is closing. [Eek!]

It doesn't look like the Dyno Center is closing. It almost seems the two would go hand in hand though. Maybe someone from SLP can clarify what is going on here.

They are not closing Toms River. They own the buildings and surrounding property. They are simply getting out of the installation business.

Any idea why? It would seem that there would be a large demand for quality work?

My guess would be the Speed Shop competition is tough in NJ and there are so many good shops in the area that can do the work for less.

So if the install center is not making money why keep it open. Plus I think the labor rate was on the high side but that may just be me.

I'm always on the hunt for shops that know these cars and do quality work, can anyone put together a list of shops?

Why must everyone always assume the worst?

The note on the SLP Perf. Parts site reads:

Dear Customers,

To facilitate the process of bringing new products to market as quickly as possible, we have decided to close the SLP Performance Parts Installation Center to new appointments for the foreseeable future. At the present time, no estimate regarding when, or if, the center will reopen is available.

As always, we thank you for your support.

Regards,
Team SLP PP
______________________________________________

The reason is because of SLP Perf. Parts huge workload with new development of product and future product, they must keep the engine dyno and chassis dyno running for inhouse development only. The only exception is for magazine use.

SLP Perf. Parts is doing very well and will not be going anywhere anytime soon other than to bring the consumer the very best in new vehicle parts and packages.

Have a safe and happy holiday everyone!
