I plan on installing the new Optima red top in the SS this morning. My plan for taking the SS out cruising yesterday went down the tubes after I found the battery dead AND it had leaking on the positive terminal. After rounding the corners of the terminal screw and decided to use vise grips.
BTW there is a melted dimple on the top of the battery over the positive terminal and it looks like there is spillage on the battery shelf .
All was not lost yesterday, since I took the Vette out for a while
