I bought an '01 SS a couple weeks ago (info in the sig). How would I go about finding the build #? Is calling SLP the only way?
Also, my car came with the portfolio. I found a postage paid card in it (directed to SLP's marketing department in Troy, MI) that asks for my information and VIN. Is this the card that I need to send in to get a birth certificate? Does SLP still make birth certificates? I guess the previous owner did not bother sending the card in.
Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the board. My guess is that calling SLP may be your only way to get the SLP build # or if you have a copy of the vehicles build sheet, the SLP build # is usually hand written in near the top.If someone that used to own it was a SSOA Member, maybe Teri could help find your build #.
I filled out that information card and sent it in to SLP to recieve the birth certificate. Now that SLP is moving their operations, this may cause an extra time delay.
