My buddy who is a ME (Mechanical Engineer) and completely void of the biased bowtie passion that I posess just looked at the C6 pictures and the commercial on my desktop.
He said, "Now that looks nice! That fron end looks great, I like the angles and the agressive look"
He didn't have much to say about the rest of the vehicles on the commercial, but did proceed to dicuss if you could really drive a car on a moving ramp at speed and how much stress that would put on the drivetrain blah, blah blah.
I thought it was cool that the C6 did strike a nerve with him though. This guy I swear is part Vulcan and doesn't show emotion like we do.

I just read the MT preview of the C6, I havent seen one in person, but I really like it! The front end is a little bit like a Viper's, yes, but what's wrong with that? If anything, I think the Vette's nose is nicer, sans the stupid vents on the Viper hood. The rear end styling is a step up from the C5 and a leap forward from the C4. I own a C3 project and still love the shark body, but if I were to buy a new car (cant, I'd have to sell the SS!), it just might be a C6.

I need to see one in person. I think I like it but not sure. One thing I really do likw, it has pretty near the performance of a stock Z06.

Will it be time for an upgrade when they intro the replacement for the Z06?
I promise I'll give you a head start in my hot rod....

My wife loves the new look. I'm still not sold on the fixed lights though.

The front end is really growing on me. The spy shots looked alot more like a Honda S2000, but they finished up the grill and it really looks sharp. The rear end is just flat sexy with one exception for me, the back window is too big.

I didn't care for the C5 when it came out but it grew on me and it is one nice Vette. The fixed headlights is something I'm gonna have to get used to, but it is already growing on me.
And I didn't care for the 4th gens when they came out in '93, but they grew on me and I like 'em alot now.
It sometimes just takes a little time to adapt to the change.

C5 looked "strange/funny" when it came out, thin front and big butt rear, but after a few months it was one of the most beautiful vettes ever, same will happen here.

I like big butts and I can not lie.
Yeah, when the C5 came out it took me awhile to truly fall in love. The rear looked a bit euro and the front and sides looked like a turbo rx7 on steroids. The C6 I think will look awesome in person. I'd to see one from the driver's seat.

Personally, I think it looks very C5'ish, with some upgrades. Like Kevin, Im not sold on the headlights either, I think they have always added a classy element to the car (pop up headlights made the difference for me between a firebird and a camaro). I also dont really like the look of the headlights. As for the rest of the car, I think the back looks great, stylish, but the front to me looks like a viper.
Other than that, it looks like winner.
