Got to walk the dogs now. If I don't return it's cause I'm frozen somewhere along the walk.
Have a great day friends.

Good cold morning! 9 degrees and wind chill of 5 below zero. Too cold to even think of washing the 1/8" thick salt off the vehicles. Keep it safe and warm!

Morning all ....... 17 degress here this morning .......... at least there's no snow (yet)
The picture of the day ................ yesterday we looked at John Pusch & Don Cain's "mini" Satellite ................ I said they got their start running a very stout gas dragster ............. pictured below is the Pusch & Cain AA/D based out of Kansas City (the single engined car) ............. running another of the flatland's killer gas dragsters .......... The Motes and Williams twin engined car from Russell, Kansas ................. between the two of them, they dominated Division five racing for years ............. the picture was taken at Indianapolis in 1970

Cold cold cold. Though I guess that is Michigan in winter.
I'm headed down to Detroit this evening to see my beloved Red Wings stomp on the Bruins tonight.

White, huh?? Don't lose 'em in a snowdrift!!
My Snowdrift Story:
Last year while in Chicago, I espied a small snowdrift up against a building. As I eagerly ran over & buried my hands in it, my friend's son yelled, "Are you NUTS??? A bum probably just peed in that!!!"
(....it LOOKED white enough.... )

Well so much for the trip to San Fran this morning. I got up a few hours early and the flight wasn't cancelled but I had no way to get to the airport. The train's still not running, the bus would take a couple hours and most airport shuttles/taxis aren't even running. Good thing, though, since the flight ended up being cancelled...not a single plane has taken off today.

I heard, earlier this afternoon, that our plant in Corvallis shut down due to an ice storm and electrical outage.
late check in today for me. Stayed home due to the ice/snow. We have about 1/4" or more of ice on top of about 5" of snow. Its slick out there. Guess I will just go into work tomorrow.
Have a good one everybody..... hopefully we all warm up soon.

I haven't heard anything from our Corvallis office, but I'd imagine it's pretty hairy down there...they had the brunt of it last night.
