About 1985 or so Chevy used an El Camino SS as an "Official Truck" support vehicle at Indy. Does anyone know more about this El Camino and what happened to it? Fbodfather? Anyone?

I remember in '86 when the Corvette was the pace car they had a whole range of bright yellow support trucks, including at least one yellow ElCamino that had a "SS" conversion on it from Choo Choo Customs. It was bright yellow with the Monte Carlo SS nosepiece and a black bottom. Posts: 142 | From: Kansas City | Registered: Oct 2002

By the way, I remember this picture from a poster that Chevy made to promote the trucks of the race. I think I still have the poster someplace, but mine's in bad shape. Posts: 142 | From: Kansas City | Registered: Oct 2002
