Morning all ............ snow flurries tonight ......... whoopee Have a good one anyway
The picture of the day .............. western Washington state is an area full of myths and legends ............ many people talk of seeing the Snow Bear ............. others tell tales of Sasquatch (or Big Foot) ................. we have even heard tales of a "Green Elephant"
Well, fortunately the last one can be verified ................. Jim Green's "Green Elephant" ................ won the NHRA World Championship in '73 with Frank Hall at the controls ............... and the "Elephants" were the Division 6 champions from that time until the whole operation was sold in '78 ............... the car pictured below is the '77 version

Good morning! I had that work week for about 8 months. It was great! You don't really mind the 2 extra hours each day because of the 3 day weekend. It's still too cold up here! (24 @ 6 am)
Skipped work yesterday because the news nerds said the roads were too bad to travel on. So last night Teri and went and drove around for fun. No problems getting around in the AWD astrovan. Go figure. Missed work for nothing.
Anyhoo, I drove into work just fine this am, and when I pulled into my parking lot (which nobody has been into since tuesday am), I drove to the back of it and parked. Now keep in mind there is about 4" of snow, covered with ice. I got out to walk into the building, and noticed something odd. THE VAN DIDN'T EVEN BREAK THROUGH THE ICE AND SQUISH THE SNOW BELOW!!!! EEEEK

I just wanted to say good morning and I know I do not post much; heck very little at this point, but I plan on getting more involved in the future. Great people from what I can tell and I enjoy reading all the posts. I give this board an A+++ because of the maturity that everyone here seems to have towards everyone and it seems that everyone (for the most part) respects one another. And that is what I am looking for in a message board. Ok, I will stop rambling on and shut up now.

AAAARRGH...the airport is shut down AGAIN today...no flights until at least Friday at 5am So much for my coworker and myself flying our wives down to San Fran tonight. And to think those weather frauds said it should warm up by Wednesday morning
Steve, I saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee outside my apartment drive on top of 3+" of snow yesterday without cracking the ice on top...trippy, eh?
Whelp, y'all have a good day.

Another day at home...MAX (light rail) isn't running on this side of town to get me to work and it's too darned icy to try and walk the 1/2 mile to the bus route. Nothing to do at work anyway since I'm all caught up. I'll retrieve my voice mail from home and do my call backs from here, too. Thank goodness I can use our website for reference on what people are calling for....too bad they don't learn how to do the same!
