Installed a couple of my Christmas presents today. One, the CAI and two, the smooth bellows. Pretty straightforward, yet it was a bit difficult getting the flimsy shroud out to trim it. Finally figured it out, but it took a little wrangling to get it free.
Haven't taken it out on the road yet to see how it works, but I plan on doing that tomorrow.
Looks like the filter is going to get a lot dirtier quicker now... but that's the price you gotta pay...

Oh yeah. I was surprised how dirty the K&N got when I installed it....but the difference in SOTP acceleraion on the highway is worth it.
Did you use the rubber seal to block off the normal air intake path?
When I did mine, I mounted that seal on a piece of SS that is held in place with the two screws that hold the CAI in place. For the winter, I took that piece out and put another (custom made) piece over the CAI inlet. Thus there is now no rick of ingesting snow.

Well, it was in the 60s(F) today, so I didn't even think of snow. But if it snows around here, I'm not going outside at all, let alone drive the SS. Interestingly, the instructions say not to put in the front seal if you have factory ram air. I debated about it, then decided just to leave it out. But I did put in the rear and side seal pieces.

I tried my CAI with and without the seal. It seemed to pull better with it off. I may try back to back runs at the track one day for a comparison.

I forgot to mention yesterday I did take the car out for a spin with the new "air direction management system" installed. Just as others have mentioned, you can feel a little bit of difference around 45-50 mph on up. Maybe it's my ears or something, but the car even SOUNDS a little different too. A bit smoother, perhaps, I can't put my finger on it. I can't see that it has done nothing but help a little in the performance department.

I had a helluva time getting the plastic radiator shroud thingy off when I installed mine. Those long plastic 'arms' that reach down were a pita to remove...
Good mod - just check the air filter alot more often.
