We really got it today. Some areas of Detroit got more than others. Here in Dearborn we got 3 to 4 but I heard Bloomfield and Troy was hit with 10 inches of snow. Time to fire up the new snow blower.

6 to 7 inches fell here and just finished that last inch that fell during the night. Driving was slow last night but 4 wheel drive helps. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

We got around 6-7" of the white junk.Glad I have the Suburban.Even though it is a 2WD,it is so heavy that it just digs in and goes! It took me 1 1/2 hours yesterday going home that usually is a 1/2 hour drive. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

Got maybe 3 inches here. It's very cold here too so salt doesn't do much. Windy and blowy here as well. No problems driving me SS in it (as usual).

I hate winter.........
took 3 hours to get from Grosse Pointe to Wixom yesterday......and 4 1/2 hours to get back.....
THEN.....was using the snow blower to clear the driveway.... (HINT: do NOT 'suck up' the electrical extension cord to christmas lights...it tends to really screw up the tree, and it breaks the snow blower......)

Too funny! I did the same thing a few years ago blowing out the neighbor lady's driveway.

Got to be carefull with the snow blowers , I never did a electical cord but I have sucked up alot of other stuff ( Reminder to self pick up the stuff left by son before snow falls ). I cant remember it ever being this cold and snowing at the same time . We got 4' here and they closed the schools due to cold and wind chill

This all reminds me of that joke, where the news anchor woman says to the weather man; "Hay, Bob where's that 8 inches you promised me last night!"
