I saw in another post you saying something about the center caps fadding away. Would my center caps be covered under my 3/36000 wantary? Because mine are fading bad. My wantary runs out next month so I would like to get them replaced if i can. Thanks for the help.

Yes they are...or they SHOULD be covered under warranty. (varies from dealer to dealer). 3 of mine faded and I had mine replaced, as well as the lugnut covers that tend to fall off.

One trick I heard was before they install the centercaps, spray them with a clearcoat of paint! Good luck!! [Smile]

I had them replaced on my company car 01 SS.... they use calcium cloride here instead of salt.... which I think ate them up.... no problems getting mine replaced....

Why worry with constant replacement of defective OEM parts? Just do like the Chicken-Man, and make your own! [Razz] [Big Grin]

Thanks for the replys. I will see what I can do the next time I go to the dealer.

FireChicken, come up with some ideas for the stock 10-spoke and I will think about what you said.

Firebat also makes an SS decal for the 10 spokes silver or chrome in the color to match the SSs on your car - a nice addition.

For the lug nuts, put a dab of weather strip adhesive before threading and they will stay on!

Why doesn't AfterthoughtsAuto carry them anymore?

(You can mention them here...it's not taboo.)
