Nate, go back and read those issues. It's also explained in the issue of Camaro World that hit our mailboxes this week.

Nate You can get it to any of the Reps here or I would be glad to handle it . You can also send it in your self but if a rep gets involved it will happen faster as WCC has asked us to gather them . We need photos shots and a 300 to 500 word story to go along with them . Please let me know if I can help in anyway . Hope to hear from you .

Greg yes you should get that together , I know you have the photos you just need the article . Your cars would be great for the mag .

Teri yes your are correct in what you say , theonly difference is that WCC is asking the Reps to get to the masses to try and get areticles cause there out of features in all Gens . I hope I didnt over step my bounds I just thougt I could maybe help WCC and SSOA members at the same time. Hey how about your cars I know you have all the Gens covered .

Do they have to be rare or special Camaros?? My baby is special to ME, but he's not Brickyard #1 or ZL1 Supercar 900hp #1 (Mr. 2002Z4CSS is SUCH a show-off......LOL!! j/k... [Razz] ).....and if they don't have to be rare ones, what are we supposed to write about for the article? [Confused]

Sounds like fun.....I'd like to do it.....just not sure if "He's one of 11,191 and he's black" would be riveting reading.... [Frown] [Big Grin]

The car only has to be special to you in some way. It doesn't have to be rare or have a particular history. Just tell the story of how you decided to buy your Camaro, how it's optioned, what it means to you, the people you've met as a result, organizations you belong to, etc.

Read the Cover Feature and Member Pride stories linked from the WCC website and you'll see what people have submitted as their story.

Everyone has a story and they're all special.

You're not overstepping your bounds at all. This is exactly what this forum is for! The SSOA is listed as a Local Chapter and we're still trying (after 3+ years) to get in the State Rep listings. I've sent in the info several times and just did it again via email today because the .asp on the WCC website isn't working.

I haven't been too pleased about the buy out of WCC by Eckler's (the USCC to WCA transition left scars) but am learning to live with it. If we could just get them to step up and cover the events they go to and advertise them ahead of time via an F-body calendar (instead of relying solely on member submissions), they'd have a much more informative magazine. I haven't been able to get this across to them....maybe you can?

Please continue to foster discussion and participation in the WCC and SSOA here....as long as it's for the promotion of the hobby, it's welcome! [Cool]

I think you mean SSOA in the Club section . Contact me and I will get ahold of the people who are our contacts . Now I have contacted them about a few things and they have fixed what I have told them right away . As a State Rep thats what were here for . As for the Sale I know theres a lot of scars from the old USCC , I have some too , but I think the sale will be positive , all I can say is we will have to wait and see . So far its been a postive thing from my stand point . Thanks for getting back . I do hope to hear from you so I can try to help SSOA out . Anytime I can do anything please feel free to contact me
Chuck
PS I will be at the WCC Winter Nationals in Orlando in a couple of weeks . I will be with the WCC people so I can nudge them in person and I will pass along any suggestions you might have or anybody . They cant duck me I am to big to miss lol

Answer to this is no they do not need to be a special addition or rare Camaro to have it in Camaro World.
Any kind of artilce is fine , there is a word limit but not sure how manys words it is and I can get back to you about this.
If you already get the magazine you can see how most people write their stories about getting their Camaros and possibly more info about the modifications they have done since buying your Camaro.
If you look in July of 2000 you'll see my article and how I kind told my story of how I got started in Camaros back in 1976 when my Dad bought a brand new 1976 Type LT , which ended being my first Camaro when I bought it from him in 1978.
Please if you need any help coming up with articles or photos please email me or Chuck and we'll help you as much as we can.
Also we can use either 35 MM photos or digital photos and if you're lucky enough to have a trasparent photo of your Camaro it could possibly be a cover shot.

Sorry Chuck did not mean to high jack your post but trying to help out some on getting some new features for Camaro World ,

Arch

I had my SS on the cover of the August 2003 issue.

I contacted WWC and talked to the person who chose the cover stories, and she was very helpful. I don't remember her name unfortunately.

I took a roll of slides with various backgrounds for the cover, and a roll of negatives for the various interior, engine, etc. shots, and sent them all to WWC.

WWC was vey helpful in giving me some tips, as well as telling me which method to use for shooting my pictures.

It took some time, as I sent everything to them in May, and it didn't appear until August. The one tip I questioned was using a plain background. I shot extra pics. w/ the SS at a covered bridge, and one at a local college, and the one with the impressive bldgs. in the background was used for the cover.

If you have any ques., shoot me an e-mail. I'd be glad to help.

Ed

ChuckSSter,

i am going to wait for a little bit for the weather to get nicer. i was looking through my photos that i have, and don't know if any of them would work out. either, there are people in them, the lighting was not good or the background distracted from the pic. etc.......so i will take some others later when the sun decides to pook it's head out and i can wash the SS.

Teri, Chuck, Arch, and I know very well about getting to be a state rep. 2 other people the 3 of us know waited sometime to hear something and it took the 3 of us to get a fire built under some people down there. Most of the time if other state reps let them think this person is a good call to be one they listen. Chuck and I will see Joe and talk to him next week when we get there. Did you send it in for for you and steve both to be state reps or just you? Either way Chuck and I will be glad to bring it up as soon as we get there.
