First, let me say I took these pics right after I got home from the muffler shop; I did not clean anything in preparation, so please be kind.
Got the new CME tips installed and it looks like they did a good job of aligning them properly, or at least evenly.
Here are a few more pics from different angles:
Here’s where it gets ugly. Now, the guy told me they didn’t have stainless elbows (which I was reluctantly prepared to live with), they have “aluminized” which I figured would match the aluminum tips somewhat (shoulda ordered stainless elbows from SLP), but I didn’t expect an apparent diameter loss, which I didn’t notice until taking pics.
This one is on the left side, where the muffler shop’s elbow meets the exhaust tip.
This one is on the right side where the muffler shop’s elbow meets SLP’s exhaust.
Damn, the more I look at these pics, the worse they look. Any recommendations?

They don't look that different in the photos.
Maybe doesn't come across as well in the picture. Don't think it will make any performance difference. I'd leave it alone if everything is lined up now.

AAhhh, someone who has gone through what I did.
Been there, done that, though yours coulda been worse. Mine all started with adapting my cme tips to a gmmg. I broke em and had to have them re-welded which turned out wrong........ect.ect.ect.
Anyways i'll get to the point...I had a muffler shop bend new elbows and was shocked at the decrease in the bend area. WOW, was it alot smaller . So after ordering two 90deg pieces of pipe from SLP, they were able to expand the ends, cut to fit and everything turned out nice.
If you need new oem elbows, I have two sitting in my garage. I tried them first and they didn't line up and were not long enough.

Allumnized is simply a nice way to say it has a coating to "prevent" rust.... they will eventually rust... you are going to want to get stainless steel.... The difference you see in the bends is due to your typical hack corner muffler shop. You need to find a shop that can do mandral bends... which means the bends maintain the same radius throught the bend... billy bobs muffler shop down the street typically doesn't have this type of equipment... they just bend it on a regualr 'ol pipe bender... its hard to find a shop that can do mandral bends as the equipment is expensive.....
