Great weekend to stay indoors and watch a little T.V. - I hear there is some football on this weekend. Any idea who'll win?

12 degrees here in WV but will raise to a big 20 degrees......
On a sad note , yestersday was a pretty bad day here for my family. My Dad's toy poodle passed away in the middle of the night and when I got home from work I had to go and dig a hole in the ground. I'm not sure if any of you have tried to do this in the middle of the winter but not a easy task. 8 inches of the ground was frozen and I had to use a pick and a spud bar to get it to where I could even get a shovel to dig the ground. I ended up digging for 1 hour and half to get a 20 inch by 20 inch hole. The toy poodle was 13 years old and failing bad the last couple months but he was a very good companion for my Dad since my Mom has passed away in Oct. 2002.

sorry to hear of your loss. Pets can be true friends. They give unconditional love and their loss can be devastating. Hope you dad finds comfort in the memories.

That's very true, spent a year on a DEW site in Alaska. It got down to -65 and stay there for about 3 weeks, Then we got a heat wave and it warmed up to 0 for a couple of days. Everybody was running around outside in their t-shirts, it felt like summer.

The picture of the day comes from the NHRA National at Indianapolis in 1966 ............ a little too pumped up Rico Paris ............ a little too much horsepower out of his gas burning Chrysler ................. a little to much traction from the tower side lane .................. a little too crazy to be pointing to the stars on only one slick

Good mornin' all I think I remember reading in one of the local papers yesterday that southern Ontario has not seen the temperature climb above the freezing mark (in Fahrenheit or Celsius! ) in something like 27 days. That's gotta be applicable to a lot of other areas as well this month!

Howdy all. Got back from San Fran last night and found the UPS guy had delivered my Koni's. Unfortunately, I committed to waiting for the GC coil-over kit before I install them.

This evening will be the third evening spent moving my stuff from the apartment to my new condo (apartment). To-morrow morning we move the big stuuf in a cargo van.
As I slid a 42 in glass table top into the back of the 'Bird last night, Alice commented that she has been amazed at how much stuff can be packed into these cars. Me too!!

Late check in today since I am now at home. We did not have electricity or heat at my work but the management let all of the UAW people home at 10am and the rest of us had to sit in a dim office with no phones, heat or computers.Went to get my taxes done and I have to pay the state and the Feds too! Nope. As much as I'd like to I was piling too many miles on as it was and winter is hard on the car. It's laid up in a body shop getting "da bump from Debuque" repaired this winter. Posts: 4222 | From: Winnipeg MB CA | Registered: Feb 2000
