LOL!! sorry, had to laugh....I would have gottena little pissed..ah well, all fun and games i guess.
At least your experience was better than mine!! The other week, i'm driving on campus, late to class (which i usually am not, as I HATE being late) and a few cars back i see the lights going ont eh one main road on campus at PSU. After I park, i see the cop pull up next to me. Here sha said she got me going 45 in a 25. Took her FOREVER to do a check and what not that they do. Ended up giving me a warning, seeing that i've never had a speeding ticket before I guess. Kinda cute. Afterwards, she smiled and said "Have a nice day". HAH! (damn, sorry for the rant, lol)
SO does getting a written warning go on my record or anything??

I guess when we drive the "Classy" cars we do we have to expect that people want to see whats under the hood. It's just a fact of life . I would keep a box of Donuts in the car for the next time though .Unless you are in Ann Arbor Michigan then It's Bagles.......No Donut shops close to campus.

OK, I can't add anything regarding campus police since I haven't attended school on campus in, oh, twenty years. My response here is personal...
DadBoughtMyCar: for the record, my "handmedown" beater is an explorer. It is a great beater, and is probably better looking than me, but I resent your sig. I'm a new-age-sensitive-guy, and I may be ugly, but I don't need to be reminded of it every time you post.
Of course, my looks improve dramatically when I drive the SS, but that's probably my interpretation only.
OK, I'm over it.

Let's see, if my wife ever caught me winking at anyone else, I imagine that would be the end of that eye. Then it'd be really scary winking out of the remaining one, and... you know where I'm going with this.
I will admit that when driving the SS, I do wave to anyone in an SS or FH, male or female. I usually get a wave back, and my wife understands, but it always feels better when it's a nice pretty woman waving back instead of an ugly-explorer-driving-guy in an SS.

Tell me about it... you're ahead of me as my daughter is only 11, but time flies and I'll be there soon, especially with all the dirt bags out there winking and blowing kisses to younger and younger adolescents. One thing's for sure, though... Even though she probably deserves it, I don't think I'll be so generous when it comes to buying her a car. You are quite the dad!

Yeah, Keep telling yourself that! I swore I would never buy a car like that for a kid. That's why I sold my '94 B4C.

My wife had a similar experience in Anchorage ........... we were living up there temporarily while I was working with the Anchorage Police Department on some computer problems ............. I had to fly to Seattle every other week to work with a customer there ............ seems the fun loving policemen would come up behind her when they knew I was out of town, turn on their lights and siren, then wave to her after she had pulled over ............. how did they know it was her you say??? .............. we had the only Ford Bronco in town with Arizona license plates and a big "Don't Mess With Texas" bumper sticker

Never worry what others think Dan. All that matters is how you feel. The only person you have to impress is yourself. Everything else will fall into place. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003
