It was a lot of fun last year, I won 1 of the 3 segments and had the highest point total. If you have any ?'s just ask! Just remember this runs 36 weeks...They split the season up into 3 12 week segments.

I'm in, I can't sign up until tonight when I get outta work! I won one of those segments too last year, the second one I believe, than I forgot the beginning of the 3rd segment!

Speaking of the new points system, no one ever said if the Busch and Truck series points will change as well, anyone....anyone.....??

I think (mind you not positive) that the points system changed for all series (ie ensuring the winner gets more points than 2nd place) but Cup is the only one doing a "playoff" or whatever you want to call it.

XthHawk, You won the first segment last year. I think you were right behind me with total points for the year.
10thHawk 103, I still don't know if I like the point system yet. What if a guy is 500-600 points back in 10th spot, he gets a couple good races in the last 10 and ends up winning? I don't think I'll like this. It will make good TV watching though. I don't think anyone will win it early, which is what I think that they don't want anymore....

Yep, I totally agree Mike. Guess we'll have to see. I can't imagine being in Kenseth's position last year with a commanding lead, then having it reset to only 5 points. It will totally change the strategy that teams employ. The only thing I definitely agree with is the change to make sure the winner of a race gets more points than 2nd place.
