Maybe I can add a pair of silver racing stripes to my black cavalier when I get it
I'd be interested in seeing some pics. I take it this is a concept version only??

I would like to see this also. I've looked on some search engines to find any additional information, but I can't find any other info. You would think that this is BIG news. No postings on the other boards that I looked at. What's up!

This is the cover of the magazine. it is actually a morphed version of the GTO
they ask that you go to the www.chevyhiperformance.com web site and urge Chevrolet to build but there is not place to do that there. Seems magazine is ahead of their web site

Sorry to burst your bubbles fellas but I was with Scott Settlemire last night. I asked about it, showed him the article and he said categorically, "No." Posts: 878 | From: Hoffman Estates, IL | Registered: Feb 2000

notice a lot of GM's new car designs start from there and still rebadge them as different... I really do no t car what they call it GM needs more RWD V8 in their lineup ... althought Chevelle is one of the top names on my list

Unfortunately, they are not practical it seems in GM's eyes. Insurance and gas mileage are key factors for those in the market for a GM car. Those who don't care about that buy a SUV by the looks of the market.
I would love for some of the muscle cars to come back, especially our beloved Camaro. However, I just don't see it happening especially if they are going to test the waters with the likes of the understyled GTO and novelty SSR. It would have to be a car that has a viable V6 option to carry the profitability of the car. The Mustang would probably not be around if it only had the GT and the Cobra, they don't sell enough of them to justify the cost of production. They do sell a decent amount of POS V6 Mustangs though.
That being said, I don't think Chevelle carries a big enough name outside of the automobile enthusiasts. When GM strikes back with a RWD V8, it can only be the Camaro.

Hey we can dream. Ya never know what GM has up their sleeve. I am sure something is going to really stir our emotions soon.

Looking at the headlights and body lines, someone definitely took a GTO and did a (bad job of a) photoshop on it.
