I must admit, I enjoyed watching American Idol. My son had a hockey game last night, so I taped it to watch later. It's korny, but I like it!
Take care and have a great day!!

We're all in our places with bright shining faces!
A redneck farmer got in his pickup and drove several miles to a neighboring farm and knocked on the farmhouse door. A young boy, about 12, opened the door. "Is yer pa home?" he asked.
"No sir, he sure ain't," the boy replied. "He went to town."
"Well," said the farmer. "Is yer ma home?"
"No, she ain't here either. She went to town with pa."
"Well, then, how about yer brother, Joe, is he here?"
"No sir, he went with pa and ma."
The farmer stood there for a few minutes, shifting from one foot to the other, and mumbling to himself.
"Is there anything I kin do fer ya'?" inquired the young boy politely. "I know where all the tools are, if you want to borry one. Or maybe I could take a message fer pa."
"Well," said the farmer uncomfortably, "I really wanted to talk to yer pa. It's about your brother Joe getting my daughter, Pearly Mae, pregnant."
The boy considered for a moment. "You're right, you would have to talk to pa about that," he finally conceded. "I know that pa charges $500 for the bull and $250 for the boar hog, but I really don't know how much he gets for Joe."

Morning all ............. on the downhill side for sure ............ hope y'all have a great day
The picture of the day ................ racing siblings ............. while not uncommon today, what with the Pedregon's, Kalitta's, etc ............. was not a common factor back in "the good old days" .............. the cars were family sponsored and the money wasn't there to field multi-car teams ............ shown below are two of the most famous of the racing brothers (along with Don & Roy Gay from Texas) .......... the handlers of the famous "Praying Mantis" dragsters from California ........... first up, the late Les Allen at OCIR in 1970 ......... second, younger brother Jeb with the rear-engined Mantis at Seattle International in 1976

Gay still has a Pontiac Dealership down here south of Houston. His son raced funny cars for a while until he crashed. Don't think he's been in the car since.

Yes sir ......... Carl Gay started Gay Pontiac on Route 3 in beautiful Dickinson, Texas ......... I believe the dealership has moved up to Houston on the Gulf Freeway now .......... sons Don & Roy both raced back in the '60's ......... Don's son Don Jr. tried running a flopper but got his bell rung really bad at Bandimere ......... didn't know he gave it up after that ............ Don Sr. drove the gorgeous Infinity GTO .....
and Don and Roy both wheeled the Firebird flopper
