Yeah, well, I couldn't resist the opportunity today after observing how the cold weather had frozen everything solid last night. Grabbed my morning coffee, moved the snowblower out of the way and enjoyed booting the SS around for the 1st time in 6 weeks! Talk about feeling rejuvenated! Made it back after an hour (escaping an OPP cruiser lurking behind a bridge abutment on Hwy.400)with all the slop at the bottom of my drive still frozen solid. Looks like we'll be in for some warmer temps starting tomorrow which means the wet roads will be back with a vengeance. Glad to have had the opportunity today!

Yeah.....I LOVE the sound of that LS1 (he's really an LS6 ) firing up.....
.....EVERY MORNING AND EVERY AFTERNOON.....
(sorry......couldn't resist.... )
I'm learning fast, though, that the down side of this is that he gets rained on and he gets mud in his calipers..... ......and I don't have time to "bathe" him every day....blesshislilheart

Same here.
I haven't driven mine much since I got my beater Escort. My girlfriend wanted me to go shopping with her today, and said she wanted to take the SS since she hasn't been in it in a while, and I said "as long as you don't mind walking farther in the parking lot."
Some say the LM is too loud and raspy...I say they're too old (at least at heart)!!

I havent even started mine since I got back from SLP Day NJ...It stays in nice warm garage and I love seeing it every time I walk in/out every day, and yes sometimes I do have to just stop and look at it and it sure puts a smile on my face, I have wanted an SS for a long time. I have taken my 35th to many far away events and I dont drive it much besides, esp in winter, it doesnt see outside till all salt is gone, It may seem crazy to some not taking it out, but it is ALL MINE and its not going anywhere, I intend keeping it always. Started the SS and the LS6 up yesterday too. It had been over 3 weeks since I started up the SS. Since September the SS only used maybe a 1/4 tank of fuel since it has been stored...the Berlinetta with the very thirsty LS6...well that is another story. It used up 7/8 of a tank so far and the way the winter has been, will be out of fuel before the snow is gone.

Great to start them up But around here all the salt dust on the road . Its like the Salt mines under the city have been moved to the surface.

Me too... it had been, I don't know, four or five weeks. I was starting to feel ill. I don't feel great about kicking road salt up into the fender wells, but it was more than offset by driving it.
That's a lot of LS-1's that were running yesterday. I knew, for some reason, it was a great day in the cosmos. Now I know why.
