Go see on the Bridgestone/Firestone web page!!
Tire / By brand drop down to SZ50 and you will see the availability of the tire.
There are but 2 sizes still listes one 17 and one 18 inch and both in run flat only.
The cost of the lawsuits may be hitting them.
Even Bridgestone is going to the dogs, very limited[huge]sizes available in the S-03.
I think it is time to meet your local Michelin/BFG/Yokohama/Pirelli dealer to find something that fits.

Michelle, I love my Bridgestone Potenza RE730's. I chose them over the Firehawk tires when I was shopping around. I have been very happy with them.

Hmm...if the 730 was a performance tire, and the 750 replaces it. Wouldn't that mean the 750 is a performance tire too? Am I missing something here? Posts: 1031 | From: Germantown, MD USA | Registered: Feb 2000

I haven't had a problem with mine either, except they wouldn't rotate them b/c I waited too long. I've been replacing 2 tires at a time since I got the car, and the rear ones are the older ones...they wouldn't rotate them last time I tried b/c they said the tread was too low for the front (traction for evasive driving and such). I am trying to get back on the path of replacing 4 at a time, but it is not working yet. The guy at the shop told me last time I was there not to get Bridgestone again for some reason, so I asked about KDW, and he said that would be a much better tire for the car. So it looks like soon I'll have Potenzas on the back and KDW's on the front.

Well darn now I have no idea what to get. Why do they have to stop making something people like that is overall a great product..
Just like the Pepsi Kona! I loved that soda but they only test marketed it in the PA, NJ and DE....The stopped making it because not enough people liked it. I loved it!

You are missing something!!!!
They are more middle of the road, the most decent tire would be a toss up between the 910 and the 950 if you ask me,neither looks anywhere as aggressive as the SZ's though.

Oh cause when i bought my RE730's they were comparable to a Firehawk tire (but had better ratings across the board). The Firehawk tire was my first choice, but these were slightly less expensive and better overall from what I determined.
It Sounds like Bridgestone changed names so maybe the 910 or 950 is equivalent to the 730.

I spoke to my rep[sponsor] he said Firestone is getting out of Perf tire and Bridgestone will pick up some slack but there will be no equivalent to the SZ50,,,,
He is going to look to see if he can find me a decent replacement in the Bridgestone line but isn't sure!!!!!!

Sounds good. I just checked out the 750. Thats definitely the replacement to my tire. I wouldn't be afraid of this tire at all. And according to the feedback on Tirerack it had better ratings then the SZ50 tire. But hey whatever. I don't plan on racing this tire. I will buy REAL race tires for that. Very bad news. My previous set of tires were SZ's and I loved them!!! When I got ready to buy my current set of tires I was also upgrading the rears to 315's. The SZ's in that size were on a three month backorder at that time so I ended up getting a set of Michelin Pilot Sports. The Michelin's are actually better tires than the SZ's (actually the best tires I've ever owned for the street) but they were really pricey. I'm going to need another set in a couple of months and I was planning on the SZ's again.
Oh well....at least the Michelin commercials are kinda funny these days.
