I'm going to NYC April 2 - 5 with my son's theater group as a chaperone!!!
I had to PROMISE him that I would stay as far away from him as I possibly could AND to act like I did not know him AND if we happened to be in the same vicinity NOT to embarrass him.....LOL!!
SOOOOOOOO.....where are some good tattoo parlors?? j/k.....sorta....

In the theatre district there is a place that gets tickets every day to popular shower at a reduced price for that night. Might want to check it out.
yup, its the TKTS booth. its right smack in the middle of Times Square. 50% off day of show thats what we did when we went to see Phantom of the Opera a few weeks ago.

"Tavern on the Green" I understand is great expensive though.
Do these places still exist? I thought FAO Schwartz was bought out by Toys 'R Us?

for what its worth FAO Schwartz (sp?) in the city is closed or will be closing. if they haven't closed already, im not sure of the date.
And Phantom was incredible!! it was my first broadway show and i really really enjoyed it!! also, in times square youll see a McDonalds. well right next door is the times square information center. go in and at the booth/desk in the center of the room there is a list of shows that have "student rush" seats as they call them available. while we were in teh city to see Phantom, we toyed with the idea of going to see Aida that night for only $25 with our student discount. just be sure all the kids have a student id. depending on the dates you're here, maybe we could get some kind of mini G2G going... now that I'm saying this, im sure i wont be able to make. such is my luck
