Since I ordered the FRC's, I thought I might look into a new air box lid and smooth bellows as well. Anyone have pics/suggestions?? Also.....what can I do with that weird-looking gray hose there on the side??

Millie from the pic I see your car already has the opt. lid on it and you don't need to get one. What HP package did your car come with 335 HP or 345 HP if it came as a 335 it had the lid or the exaust one or the other if it came with 345 it hade both from the factory if not get the lid that the hose will still hook up to like came on the 345 HP car

The Donaldson lid you have is excellent. Some silicone, tire gloss or wd40 will darken the breather hose.

It came with the 345 hp package, which included the dual/dual exhaust system.....so what y'all are saying is that I don't need to replace it performance-wise.....
OK....here's the REAL question (as in stupidfemalequestion):
Many of the air box lids I saw at BG and on here are....um...."prettier".....no stickers, etc., so should I take the stickers off? or leave it alone??

You will not gain any performance by changing lids as you have one already with the 345 package. you can remove the stickers and put some different ones on. but the lid you have is good.

I guess I want the best of both worlds....I don't want it to look totally stock....but I don't want to screw up anything just because I don't know what I'm doing.....and don't have anyone close-by to help....

Since that's the case, then I'll just maybe remove the stickers (put 'em in the "baby book") & try cleaning it up a little so it looks all nice!

Millie, ...KEEP the Blackwing Lid, ...period. You want to "dress it up" (Yeh, we know YOU DO ), then as DaddySS said, ...that 'grey' hose will clean up fine. As for removing the sticker from the lid, ...that might be tough without damaging/destroying the sticker. You could order a 'spare' PRIOR to removing if that was a concern for you. I have the PN at home if needed...

If you are loking to replace the sticker then Teri Lane has a nice asortment . I picked one up at BG that has the 35th logo and then Teri put my car # on it .

Millie, I wouldn't put on the smooth bellows either. Some people who have done this have torn the rubber boot that attaches to your air lid. The smooth bellows is too stiff and does not give when you lift the air lid. Just my opinion. The only thing I did to my BlackWing air lid is put on a K&N label. I personally like the stock look.

You'll lose about 15 hp for every sticker you take off! (Ricer 101) Some people have put a small K & N cone filter on the hose that goes to the air box. They put it down low, out of sight, and then just put a plug in the air lid hole. I've seen pictures somewhere, I'll try to find it when I get home.

Milli........not to change the subject, but did you check to see if your FRC's will fit under your STB? What kind if STB is that anyway?
As far as the lid goes, I would use a heat gun/hair dryer to remove the labeling and would buy an SS emblem like you have on the fender and put that on the lid.
