"This Forum is for the members and friends of the SSOA to discuss the GM F-Body and any other topics that are of interest. This forum should be treated as a "Family Room" with language and subject matter guaged *gauged accordingly. Posts not referring to the GM F-Body should include "NFB" in the topic heading. The good-natured bantering amongst regulars may be offensive to some; however, the moderators and site administrator will limit their intervention to blatantly profane, inflammatory or derogatory statements.
.....just a little curious as to why two threads have been locked that, IMHO, do not in any way, shape, or form contain profane/inflammatory/derogatory statements.
The very first locked thread was a joke aimed at me. I received a PM to that effect from the person that locked it and, in addition, the joke was clearly stated in the post. No offense taken.
Why the second thread was locked I have no idea, other than the fact that it may have gotten a little silly. Those who do not enjoy this level of exchange certainly are not required to click on said topics.
In this latest locked thread, I received some valuable information concerning a modification of which I was heretofore unaware, and that I will certainly consider buying. Had the thread stayed on topic, this information would most likely not have come to my attention.
These two threads hardly approach the rancor and venom of several previously locked threads regarding the bashing of a particular car manufacturer.
To me, a "Back Porch" is a relaxing, inviting place where just about any topic is welcomed and where the participants are not afraid to digress from the original subject of discussion in the interest of learning, sharing, and camaraderie.
As far as the NFB indication is concerned, at approximately 3:30 p.m., I counted 37 threads, of which only 7 carried the NFB disclaimer, even though the overwhelming majority were non-fbody related, point being that if this were criteria for lockage, there should be many, many more locked threads.
I'm sure it is purely unintentional, but nevertheless, when a non-inflammatory/non-derogatory thread is locked on the whim of a moderator, it feels like a put-down to those participants who seem to be enjoying some innocent silliness and fun.
As a member of the SSOA organization, a repeat Bowling Green participant, and a garrolous poster on this board, please know that I mean no disrespect toward any site administrator or moderator, and I trust that my opinions and questions here will be received in the manner in which they are intended.

Millicent, It was nothing personal toward anyone. I asked a moderator to lock my signature thread because the point had been made, driven home, and then the thread went somewhere else.
I think the oil filter magnet suggestion was a good one and would make a great topic on its own. I encourage someone to start a new thread so discussion can continue on it. It's a valid topic that really needs its own thread and doesn't deserve to be buried in something that doesn't apply. Posts: 7198 | From: Near Portland, Oregon, USA | Registered: Feb 2000

Its not a big deal. Don't sweat it.
OK...if that is the case, please put an explanation/disclaimer somewhere in the text because, as it reads, only profane/inflammatory/derogatory posts will not be tolerated.
I have no issues with following rules, if the rules are clearly stated.....

So, the point is, I didn't keep reading the other post so I missed all the good stuff about the magnets. So, I need to know more. I need drain plugs with magnets for both my Z06 and my SS, where can I get them?
