.......for people (student assistants) to do things CORRECTLY??
We have student assistants here in the counseling office who are seniors and have completed most of their courses.
The other day, I asked them to put some scholarship letters in those plastic page protectors with holes on the left-hand-side. I even did several as a example, with the first page facing up and the holes on the left.
Today I get them back and they are in the plastic protectors everywhichway......so.....I have had to STOP and REDO about 1/3 of them.
These are HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS fercryinoutloud!!!
Last week, I had them punch holes in a stack of papers to put in a binder. I gave them my holepunch to use. When I got them back, about half of the holes didn't line up.....howthahell did THAT happen???
I guess I should go tell them to correct it all, but it's just faster to do it myself.....BUT WHY DON'T THEY HAVE THE COMMON SENSE TO DO IT RIGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE???? [/RANT OFF]

Tell me about it Ed. I have made many deliveries out to U of M and alot of those kids go out of their way to walk right in front of the truck just to be spiteful. Really ticks me off.

Hey, us college kids grow alot more mature in..um..college...its a changing time for us..and stressfull too...sometimes..um..we just need a stress reliever and break Who said we cant have fun in college!!

Kids do that at all schools man, when you are late for class, you're only stopping for a act of God.

Milli, Milli, Milli! After all they are just teen-agers (chuckle, chuckle, chuckle). I bet though if you told them that they would be paid for their work if they did it correctly or they would get detention if they did it wrong , you wouldn't have had any problems!

Not anymore... Why I am retired at this point... No more stress. Hey my attitude is "It's your turn now"! I'll get back with ya later....Much later. In the last year I have seen my family, been to more holiday events ect., ect., ect., than I had for over 20 years!!! And I use to think that was normal.

Oh no these kids were in no way late for class............they look at ya and dare ya to to proceed after you have given the right of way to them and other traffic. When I start to pull forward they would just walk right in front and give a smug look. Thank God I haven't had to go out there in a while. During the Summer its a lot easier.
