Well after many months we fired up the LS1 transplant in my 1969 Camaro project.. Mike Morgan of E-tune worked his magic and did the basic "get it running" tune. This was a challenge since the VATS needed to be disabled along with a host of other things the car no longer needs in the PCM. (like smog, cats, etc )

I would also like to thank all the guys at Don Lee's for doing a first class job on the install.. the engine looks like it belongs in the car..

This is just a sound file (917k).. the video should be up later in the weekend. NOTE: turn your speakers up to 10 for the full effect Gotta love open headers.. Keep in mind its just the start-up and Mike hadnt gotten the tune dialed in yet..

http://www.z069.us/69/LS1_install/LS1_startup.wav

MMS stage II heads, ity bity 224 cam, ls6 intake, ARP rod and head bolts, ported TB, ASP pulley, yada yada..

4L60E trans with 3800 Yank converter, 3:73 gears, auburn posi, strange axels..

This will probley kill my bandwidth allocation for the month!

You should hear it now that its been tuned.. just purrs along.. wish i could keep the open headers.. lol..

We drove it onto the trailer and now its back at the body shop to get the body panels put on, painted stripes and cleared.. the home for the rest of the goodies!!

After giving it a litte gas in the parking lot i think traction will be an issue [Smile]
