Well after many months we fired up the LS1 transplant in my 1969 Camaro project.. Mike Morgan of E-tune worked his magic and did the basic "get it running" tune. This was a challenge since the VATS needed to be disabled along with a host of other things the car no longer needs in the PCM. (like smog, cats, etc )
I would also like to thank all the guys at Don Lee's for doing a first class job on the install.. the engine looks like it belongs in the car..
This is just a sound file (917k).. the video should be up later in the weekend. NOTE: turn your speakers up to 10 for the full effect Gotta love open headers.. Keep in mind its just the start-up and Mike hadnt gotten the tune dialed in yet..

It is a wonderful thing to hear a new engine fire up for the 1st time. I can't wait to see that car in person!

We drove it onto the trailer and now its back at the body shop to get the body panels put on, painted stripes and cleared.. the home for the rest of the goodies!!
After giving it a litte gas in the parking lot i think traction will be an issue
