We originally started with a 384Kbps and then upgraded about a year ago to 768Kbps.. and now it was necessary to go to 1500Kbs.
This should give us some decent flexibility for the future...
I got a deal for $399/month including all of our IP addresses. Since we run our own DNS Servers, Mail Servers, etc.. and everything is on Linux.. our other costs are low.
For those that didn't know.. Linux is my life
We now have 7 Linux Servers running the whole show.

Currently Red Hat Linux. I have looked at Fedora Core as a replacement since Red Hat has stopped the GPL side of things... but for now.. I'm going with Red Hat... its very stable.

I work for a private telephone company here in Canada and for about $39.95 Canadian we give 1.5 mb. which is probably about about $25 US dollars. We will soon be giving 3 mb. for the same price. We have just connected another dslam and are setting the download speed for 3 mb. as of today and 4 mb. for bussiness for no additional charge. Take a look at our home page at http://www.bmts.com/bmi/ We use AFC and Copper Mountain equipment. We're now installing AFC's Telliant 5000 which will also give 2 video connections along with dsl on copper and the next generation will be 3 video connection per house. I have 6 mb. and home here and with windows xp it is so fast almost as fast as my SS...hahaha

I still hate my Linux server though, slow as a dog on a P3 with 512 meg of ram. I guess I'm just a windows guy.

That is certainly $25.00/month for 1.5 DOWN speed only.
Here in Kansas city you can currently get 3Megabit down for $26.99/month through Time Warner Cable (Road Runner)...
Where the BUCKS come in is when you want UPLOAD speeds... and static IP addresses. There is no way anybody would be giving away a 1.5MB x 1.5MB connection for $25.00 a month.. anywhere... especially with static IP addresses.
In fact, I just looked the the website you suggested.. Cheetah (as they call it) only comes with a 128Kbps upstream.. that wouldn't be enough bandwidth to run chirpthird alone.
That is a very good price for Internet access though... I use residential road runner at home which I pay $26.99/month for ($39.99 after 6 months).. and I get 3Megabit down.. and 384Kbps up. I use it so that I'm not effecting the bandwidth of the business.

Go to this site http://www.bmts.com/bmi/cheetah/cheetahres.html which is further into the home page..the $39.95 in a short time will be going to 3mb. instead of 1.5mb. and I would think they will drop the $64.95..it's mainly because Bell Canade will be doing the same..there is also a Cheetah lite which is set at 256 download and is a special now..this is to get the dial-up customers off dial-up and the advantage is that they can talk on their phone and be on the internet at the same time for the same price that they are paying now for dial-up..
