Friend had one like that years ago. Someone wanted it more than him though. Dragged it about a block then started it up [Frown] .

Those are neat, but that does not really look nice a nice car to me, even in the pictures.

I mean, I don't like the condition. The car would be cool. Since you asked ...

It looks like there's lots of cruddy black overspray hiding stuff under there. It isn't redone or clean underneath, just sprayed black. They repainted it, but there's white paint in the wheel wells. Obviously they weren't sticklers for detail. If it was a really good car and they were spending the money to make it right, why, WHY would they go with those off-ball butt-ugly "Road Hugger" tires? That Hurst T-shifter bugs the hell out of me in anything (I hate those, and I figure they're there because they put in some crappy performance transmission--that might not be the case, but I hate the looks of those so bad that that is the conclusion I automatically come up with). The thing says the engine has been replaced. I'm not impressed with their engine code stamping tidbits--if it was a nice car, it would still have the original engine. It says the seats were recovered. You can buy the seat covers for those pretty easily or have someone make them, but they were just vinyl, so why did they need to be replaced? The car's not restored, so what else needs to be replaced. It would be kind of neat as a driver if it was any good to drive, but it just appears like a warmed-over fair car to me. And it SHOWS 65,000 miles and that is BELIEVED to be accurate??? Give me a break. It's hard to tell how many miles it had. They're vague description doesn't tell you anything. I'll bet you could find a lot more things that didn't look right for real. Pictures make anything look good.

They changed the engine and transmission in it. I wouldn't even be suprised if it didn't come with a 455. Hell, I'd be suspect as to whether it was really a Trans Am.

I wouldn't be embarassed to ride in it, I just wouldn't do backflips over it. [Smile]

Well my buddy has his '73 Formula SD-455 up for sale. Classic Restorations is his business, so you know the car is in great shape. It was a cover car on High Performance Pontiac a few years ago.

I like the Formula better. And the seats look more right in it to me. Plus, the white one doesn't have any A/C.
