I was out today with my wife and daughter to some Sunday lunch.. and we were in a area of Kansas City called Crown Center...
I walked into a car collectibles shop.. and there they were.. 5 of the SSOA diecast's (not the limited ones of course.)
I was just shocked to see the SSOA logo on them.
They were marked at $45.00 each. I had to buy one... just because I ran into it..
I still think it's halarious to get public recognition for a car when all the SSOA did was ask for a run to be built with their spec.
I was *shocked* to see them in my local store!

Yep. I saw those for sale at Car's the Star last Christmas already. It did seem kind of funny to see them there, but like everything else at that store, they were way overpriced!

Where's that banging head on wall smiley? Oh, here we go:
J.R., I've been holding #57 and the another one for you (at your request) since we came back from Kentucky last year. I took pics of yours to remind you that I still have it. (I guess you didn't see the posts?)
Take that overpriced one back and use your money for buying the cars directly from the SSOA (we really need to sell them all!
If I can find a box and packing material the right size, I'll box them up and get a shipping total for you, OR we can bring them with us on our way to Kentucky this year.
Have you decided on whether you're caravaning to Kentucky with us in 2004? We'll be picking people up along the way.

If someone will send me an address and price with shipping for one of the numbered cars, I would like one. What is this about autographed ones I heard about? Anything there on them? Jim

It's a featured topic at the top of the Back Porch forum. Here's the thread.
The only way you'll get an autographed car is to have someone sign it for you in person at an event.
