This weekend, I was cleaning up my 3rd Gen and realized it was 11 years ago this month that I purchased that car. What a history that car and I have together.
I purchased the car as a salvage vehicle with 6,700 miles on it and was wrecked before I took ownership of the car.
Several trips to Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Mammoth, San Diego, and Sonoma to name a few.
My '92 has been through alot as seen below.
But it was repaired and brought back to life.
125,000 miles later, survived an Earthquake, a slipping tranmission, pealing paint and fading interior, It is still my daily driver.
This is a car I will miss so very much when it comes time to let it go. But the memories will stay with me forever.
I am truely proud to be a 2 time Camaro owner.

With the prices of new cars these days, why don't you consider a total restoration and driving it for another 125,000 miles?
I wish I had done that with some of my older cars as well instead of getting rid of them. And since you can buy just about every part you need for a 3rd gen resto these days, restoration is a definite option.

I agree - just throw some $$$ into the car and it will be new again... thinking of doing this for my 78 Grand LeMans... Posts: 694 | From: Newport, RI (Middletown Technically) | Registered: Feb 2000

I wish I had kept at least one of my 3rd gens. I bought 3 of them new and all 3 were special order cars and rare, but I traded them each time for a newer one. I love the power and handleing of my SS but of the 12 camaros I have owned I liked my 89 Iroc the best of all and my 92 anniversary package 350 1LE one of 2 built. Oh well why wish for something already done and gone but you can keep yours
