I am going thru the pre-race checklist for the SS/LE for the Big Bend Open Road race, which is in 29 days, Woooohoooooooooo! I need some advice on fluids.
I want to run synthetics. I have the SLP Auburn rear-end (watch it Millie ) and I am clear not to run synthetic lube in it.
I checked C3, LS1tech, and FRAXX and I am now more confused than when I started.
So - I need your input.
Please help!!

They are all excellent lubes. The biggest key is not so much which one you choose, but how often you change it. As long as you do regular routine maintenance, any of the oils you mentioned will be just fine. I use Mobil 1.
PS - Amsoil is another good one.

Im a Mobil 1 fan.... keep this in mind Mobil 1 is the only full syn out there who makes their own base stock. All the other guys buy their base from someone else.... My 2 cents.

My choice is Mobil 1. Been using it for years in all my vehicles. I think you would be fine with any of the products you mentioned, just pick the one that rings your bell.

I figure if Mobil 1 is good enough for a Camaro or Corvette from the factory it is good enough for me. I use it in all of the vehicles except for the 1990 Suburban. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

It is important when installing Auburn differentials that a high quality, non-synthetic 80w90 GL-5 oil, treated with GM or Ford limited-slip additive (also known as friction modifier) be used. Three ounces of additive will treat one quart of oil.
