It is very hard to believe from those pictures the truck is totalled. That looks very fixable to me.You may want to have another collision shop do another estimate on it it you want it back.Glad you ok.

Wow........Totalled? It doesn't look like that much damage.
The only reason I ask is I also have a 2000 Explorer. On the surface it just looks like the rear liftgate and bumpers are damaged. What did your insurance adjuster say?

A lot of frame damage, if the repair bill went over 9000 without a teardown, then they wouldn't proceed, they would just call it, "totaled"...
