Well there IS light at the end of the tunnel.. or is that a train???
The bodyshop part of this build is most definetly the most frustrating.. its just not something that goes fast.. lots of details and every time I turn around im next day air shipping some damn part that we need. But, Im keeping focused on the final prize at the end..
Fenders are in and we have found some GOOD replacement side glass.. Power windows are installed and they work great (and FAST).. If you notice in the pics i am using my trademark blue washers but instead of bowtie bolts ive gone with chrome button head bolts for a cleaner look..
So, here are the latest pics:
The LS1 just looks so right in there..
and to think.. it still needs to be color sanded, another coat of clear and to be sanded again and buffed
It will be better once we run the air filter to its final location down in the ex-batter tray area..
Stripes next week, let set two days then colorsand/buff and install the glass and window stainless.. after that it needs to be aligned, mufflers and a trip to the custom roll-cage guy for a little chrome-moly safety stuff -- im going to try like hell to have it drivable to the SLP Picnic.. gonna be close though..
Then dynomat and a couple seats so i can go to Super Chevy.. after that it goes in for the REAL interior..

Coming soon to a race track near you also
Thanks.. This is the exciting part of the project.. when it starts looking like a car again..
I got two of those billet LS1 badges that are styled like the Z06 badges.. they will be the only badgeing the car has (on the back of the front fenders).. Will still need a trip to the exhaust shop and alignment shop before the picnic but im hopefull.. might just have carpet and front seats but im hopeful
Hey, it has working windshield wipers (for power tour) so that proves its not a trailer queen show car
