Dragged my butt home during rush hour, stuck in long lines, slow areas, stop and go the whole way. Get to my developement, have a side street that skirts the side of the homes, dead end. Punch it to blow out the carbon, get thru first and half way thru second before getting off it. Park it in the garage, talk to a neighbor, go inside, look out the front window and a cop is cruising around looking all over. Guess one of my neighbors ratted me out for jumping on it, or he was near by and heard me. Think I'll stay in for the night! Note to self: keep it cool around home...

Yup! Save it for the track. It isn't worth blowing out a little carbon...
I agree with y'all, but I think we're all a LITTLE guilty of playing at times we shouldn't have. Just be happy you didn't get caught or as stated above, a lot worse!

Easy, easy guys. Only thru first, on a back road, not thru the developement, a field on the other side. I'd hit a tree, a ditch, another car, before hitting a pedestrian. Haven't hit anyone in 27 years of driving and knock on wood, won't ever!

Geeze, we're getting a little hyper-sensitive here. He wasn't racing, he just goosed it.

Agree. I didn't see anything wrong with it. You can goose responsibly. A kid got hit around here by a Ford Focus, and I'm sure it wasn't because they were getting on it.
As for the "what ifs", what if parents actually took a little more responsibility for keeping their kids safe as to the location that their kids play? What if we outlawed everything with more than 4 cylinders to keep people from goosing it and hitting stuff or people? You shouldn't have to legislate common sense to prevent stupidity or irresponsibility. We could go on and on with the what ifs.
If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, what a merry Christmas we would have.

I did say pedestrians... no mercy for road kill. Used to live in manahattan IL by Joliet. Would cream racoons on a daily basis, no choice, family in 92' caprice wagon doing 90 on farm road, racoon, who loses??? Oh, and lawyers don't count as human...
I like the "goose responsibly" line, can I use that???
