...finally Friday...it's been a loooooooong week indeed. Another quality day with Mr. Chainsaw planned tomorrow. Dr. Gray, who lives in Colorado and predicts the number of Atlantic hurricanes each year (and updates his predictions 5 times during the 6-month season) says we're going to have another overactive season this year...
...maybe this will be the year my property becomes oceanfront eh?

Morning all ........... have a great day and a wonderful weekend
The picture of the day ............ one of the legends of drag racing ............ and one of the nicest individuals you could ever hope to meet .......... the Ft. Worth, Texas used car dealer turned oil man ........... Gene Snow
This beautiful shot of "Rambunctious" was taken at Indy in '67 ............ a meet where they didn't really have a class for the car, so they stuck it in C/FD and made him run for Competition Eliminator .............. a bracket which he handily won ......... to the surprise of many
This legendary driver, whose career started in the early '60's, has driven /FX and /XS cars, nitro funny cars, top fuel dragsters, and is still active today driving alchohol dragsters out of Division 4

That car still had the Torqueflite 727 transmission ............ and the push-button controls on the left end of the dash ........ that's why he drove with his forearm on the body ................. had to "Push them buttons"

5th consecutive day of rain, here. At least it's washing all the salt off the roads.
I ordered a Hypertech Programmer for the SS today. It's something I've wanted since I bought the car in '99.

Well, got phucked yesterday - no raise, no bonus. This, after having a favorable review and being told they'd like me to step up in the coming year. Yeah, right. Their reasoning was: "You're at the high end of the salary scale for your position, and you got a raise last year." Needless to say, I'm highly motivated today.
