Its not going to be a shootout, it will be a slaughter. Mustangs have poorer gear rations, underpowered engines, Its going to be very hard for them to do well (except the cobras, of course).

If it's bracket racing[which it usualy is]the mustangs have just as good a chance as the F-Body.
The 4th MIGHT have an advantage over the 4.6 stangs,but then the 3rd gen will get destroyed by the 80's Fox body.
Drag racing is about the DRIVER unless it is heads up!!!!

You're assuming all cars are going to be stock... bad assumption, especially for cars that are on a track.
