I sold my house this morning. I really did not get what I really wanted for it but the new people did not have a house to sell that would usually delay things. I guess I should feel happier than I do.
I could be out of my current home in 3 weeks and into the new house. I could use any help with the move from anyone that can. Trucks or Suburbans would also help. Anyone wanting to help? I will supply the pizza and drinks. Thanks!

Congrats!! I'm sure you had lots of memories in that house, but you'll have many more to come!!! I'm sure you're excited nonetheless!
I'd offer, but..distance is a factor. When I helped my friend move a few years ago, I had my Z24 Convertible, and put the top down and loaded a huge desk in the back seat! LOL.

Hey! Congrats!
Let me know what weekend you're moving, and if I'm in DTW, I'll be there.
One thought, though.....have you priced a moving company? I've done it both ways and trust me, it's worth using a moving company due to breakage and wear and tear on your furniture!

The other house will only take a week or so with a crew to repair. The added electrical that I requested in the garage may get done after I am in. Kind of hoping it gets done before I move because I use my air compressor on a weekly basis. The water damage only caused $4000 worth of damage including the flooring. I was promised it will be done very quickly. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

You are moving in before the closing? You may want to reconsider that! You never know what surprises will turn up at a closing..........I am speaking from personal experience here! Can't your relator arrange something different than that?

The idea was immediate occupancy for the people that bought my house. What kind of suprises? I know the gas, water and electricity will have to have the meters read and put into our names.

Greg.........you just never know. Suppose there is a lien on the property and you can't get clear title. Suppose there are some easements on the property that you are not aware of and that you don't like. There are just all kinds of things that can come up. Can't you move up your closing so it occurs before you move all your belongings in to the new house? It will at least give you peace of mind. Also, if you do move in before the closing, make sure insurance is covering your belongings before your homowners policy takes affect since you may have a few days exposure there.

Greg I would tend to agree. Without "LEGAL" ownership you might be conidered Trespessing. You do not own the house till closing. What is to say that the Relator/Builder wants to renig and change the locks and lock you out of "HER PROPERTY"................AFTER YOU MOVE IN.Its Her property.
Just my $.02 worth

The realtor/home owner gave us this idea and so far she has come thru on her word. After all she is the one that has the keys to the house.

Andy, I have spent a ton of cash lately and just paid the State and Federal taxes.I have no money left and still have to put in landscaping, driveway, purchase a riding mower, deck and fence part of the yard for the dogs plus get ready for all of the out of town Camaro shows that I attend that cost a few hundred dollars each. I will be broke for a while. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002
