I dont know if i told any of you today, But i received a phone call from my Mother that she was being admitted into the hospital in St. Louis for chest pains. She went to her family doctor, he ran some prelim. tests and told her he needs to admit her for further tests including, but not limited to a stress test.
What the prelim. EKG showed was whats called VFib. For those of you who are not familiar i will explain.
The life-threatening rhythms originating from the ventricles are called ventricular tachycardia (VTach) and ventricular fibrillation (VFib). VTach is a very fast rate up to 250-300 beats/minute (normal heart rate is 60-100 beats/minute). The heart is beating so fast that the heart has no time to collect blood and then pump the blood out. With VFib, the ventricles quiver like a bowl of jello! They do not pump any blood at all.
Although, it has not reached this point yet, that i know of anyway, it is causing me even more stress in my life which is almost getting too much to handle, especially since it is my Birthday...
I will try to keep anyone interested updated as I find time available, but since she is 200 miles away, i may just disappear.
I just wanted to share this information for maybe i guess talking about it makes it better.. I dunno..
Thanks for taking time to follow my ramble. This wasn't the way my 33rd Birthday was supposed to go...

I hope it doesn't turn out to be too serious. A lot of times the problem you describe can be taken care of with drugs or a pacemaker. I suffer from irregular heartbeats so I am somwehat familiar with the problem. Keep us posted and we will be thinking about you and your Mom and hoping for the best.

Thank You all for being so very kind. I talked with her this morning. She sounded good, said she felt good. She said all of the testing that was done last night was ok and all that was left was a stress test with some dye of some sort.
Since in my family, its only her and I left (other than my wife and her family) she is all I have and I dont know what i would do without her..
Thank You again.
ps. Thanks for the B-Day wishes as well.. My wife bought me a pressure washer.. im not sure if it was for my car or she is hinting spring is coming and the house needs washed... hmmm

I know a little bit about life being unbearable. It feels like you can`t go on anymore, like it drains every little once of life out of you.I have been hit by that MAC Truck called life so many times I can`t remember Jeremy. But some how I always manage to get up and start walking again. If I did it, you can to. You have a wife loving to fall back on. I didn`t and I don`t now. God will give you the strength to make through this. My prayers are with you and Happy Birthday.

I just got off the phone with my Mother. She got her results from the stress test and they said everything looks normal! All the blood work showed everything is ok. There isnt any explination as to why this happened, but I guess knowing that they found nothing wrong is great!
I wish I could personally thank and shake hands with each person here that prayed for her. It makes me feel so wonderful that so many of you, whom I didnt even get to meet at BG had such nice things to say.
Thank You!
