Man those are sexy looking Camaros. I bet they are going to cost some major league bucks though. I wouldn't mind having one. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

I believe Berger Chevrolet bought up the remaining Z28's that they could find. They will sell everyone of those made. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

Berger did buy all the V-8 Camaro's that they could find.
That car has almost the same body as the Penske car GM built for the woodword cruise.

Hmmm, ...maybe they should get the OK to use that TA body kit they had on display in BG, ...Now that would be another neat car, ...and you'd have your TA seats too

I talked with the guy that is in charge of this program. He said 30 cars are going to be built plus a couple prototypes. Already about 2/3 are spoken for. Charlie Lillard is supposed to get #1. I'm trying to get a car for the show in Hampton this year from Berger (hopefully).

Does anyone have prices or any other information as to when these cars may be available? Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

Thanks for talking this car up on this web site. First, GMMG does not buy cars, we build cars for dealerships (except for the 35th Performance Edition Package). We get a lot of people calling and asking if they can buy a car from our lot . . . It is a commonly asked, so I thought I'd start with that question. It is kind of funny when people call us and ask for our current rebates . . . But, we send them to Berger or the dealers we are working with.
Berger Chevrolet is selling them and if interested, please contact Dick Jacques at 616-293-1850. He is the lead salesman on this project. As for price, they will vary about $4000 due to some cars loaded and some stripped. The MSRP price with the GM body kit, 400 HP package, etc. will be in the $84,000 to $88,000. Dick has all the info and can send a complete list of content on the base cars. Our Phase 2 and Phase 3 engine packages will be available as well as a few other items. A loaded car could cost around $115,000.00. Automatics and 6-speeds will be available. Hardtops and t-tops are available and all GM color are available. Currently I think 8 or 9 are left for sale, but again, Dick can help anyone interested.
We worked with GM to redo their Sunoco Camaro package so that is why the panels look just like them. The same designer and design studio did both cars and the panels will interchange. Please dont ask if Berger or GMMG will sell those panels. Right now, and probably forever, they wont be for sale as that is why the cost of the package is very expensive. I will answer anyones questions and if you want to send me a personal email, please do at gmmginc4@aol.com I am sorry I can't get here every day, but JD will keep me posted if questions come up here and I will get back to help answer them. Thanks again for the comments, It is going to be a neat and fun project. Lastly, we are working on something for the Gathering here in Atlanta, over the Memorial Day weekend, so please stay tuned . . .
Matt
