I just received a replacement bezel for my '97 SS and have a question, are there six plastic tabs on the back of the bezel? I can't remember if the first one had these tabs. If anybody can answer this for me or has a PIC of one please respond. Theres two on either side of the temp/oil, and two on either side of fuel/volts, and one on the top of the tach/speedo. This is the newer version Macewen Motorsports is offering. Thanks in advance.

Just received mine today, in the instructions they say to snap off a tab on top by bending it back & forth.

That wasn't my question. My question was are there four tabs on the bottom and two on top.

I just put mine on last week. The tabs from what I saw held the bezel in place and I left mine on as the old one(glass and frame) had them also. Like Bob said on the Camaro the small tab on the front of the bezel MUST be removed or the bezel will not fit flush and you risk breaking it if it is forced on.

Thanks guy's, I installed mine yesterday. The only pain was tring to get the speedo needle out of the way when snaping the bezel in place.

Glad you got your problem sorted out with it and got it in ok. I actually drove my car down our street a bit with a friend beside me to hold the steering wheel, that way I could snap the bezel freely in place. [Smile]
